RPL Project Network meeting held in TUS, Athlone
Masterclass - RPL as a key part of the engagement continuum
Professor Irene Sheridan, Head of Extended Campus at Munster Technological University gave us an excellent insight into the development of Recognition of Prior Learning within her institution. She made a powerful argument for 'equity of access', but this must be supported by evidence of learning and guaranteed quality assurance. #YourLearningCounts
RPL supports collaboration between MTU and all sectors of business and community. It became a key selling point for Extended Campus. We now work with 1,200 companies and have over 2,500 contacts.
Masterclass - RPL for workforce development
Oran Doherty of Ibec gave us lots to reflect on. What does the future of work look like? There will be a greater emphasis on skills and not qualifications, and RPL will have a significant role to play in Work Based Learning. A workplace is a legitimate place for learning. #YourLearningCounts
