Call for contributions: European RPL Week 2026

The European Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Network has issued a call for contributions for European RPL Week 2026, taking place from 9–13 November 2026. Organisations and individuals from across Europe are invited to organise events and activities that raise awareness of RPL, share practice, and support engagement with it across different sectors and communities.
A Europe-wide showcase
European RPL Week will bring together a diverse programme of online and in-person activities aimed at a wide range of audiences, including learners, educators, employers, practitioners, policymakers, and community organisations. The Network is encouraging contributions in whatever format suits the host organisation, including:
- Webinars and public talks
- Workshops and peer learning events
- Case studies and information sessions
- Open days and industry showcases
- Social media campaigns and other awareness activities
Suggested themes:
Contributors are welcome to design their own topics, but the Network has suggested the following themes as a starting point:
- Validation of non-formal and informal learning
- RPL for employment and career advancement
- AI and digitalisation in RPL processes
- Inter-institutional recognition practices
- RPL for entry, advanced entry, exemptions, and progression
How it Works
Participating organisations organise, fund, and host their own events. In return, the European RPL Network will promote each activity through a shared European RPL Week schedule and associated communications, giving contributors visibility across the wider European RPL community.
